Privacy Policy & Data Security
Effective Date: August 19, 2026 | Product: BPO Helper (Chrome Extension) | Publisher: DevHatchery
1. Introduction & Core Privacy Commitment
DevHatchery ("we," "our," or "us") operates BPO Helper, a dedicated productivity extension designed for call center agents, BPO representatives, and CRM operators. We are firmly committed to user privacy, data minimization, and regulatory compliance. BPO Helper operates primarily client-side inside your browser sandbox and adheres to strict Zero Data Selling and Zero PII Harvesting principles.
2. Google Chrome Web Store User Data Policy Compliance
In accordance with Google Chrome Web Store Limited Use Policies:
- We do NOT sell, trade, broker, or rent user data, call recordings, lead names, phone numbers, or browsing histories to third parties.
- We do NOT use or transfer user data for personalized advertising, lead generation brokers, credit assessment, or cross-site tracking.
- We do NOT use user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
- The data accessed by the extension is strictly utilized to provide the core user-facing features (phonetic pronunciation overlay, number lookup, and local call note drafting).
3. Permission-by-Permission Technical Justification
BPO Helper requests only the absolute minimum set of browser permissions necessary to execute its functions:
• storage: Allows the extension to locally store non-sensitive preferences (e.g., user-whitelisted domains, custom checklist items, temporary note drafts, and the activated license token) inside chrome.storage.local. This data stays 100% on the user's computer.
• activeTab & scripting: Required exclusively to scan visible lead name strings and US phone number patterns on the active webpage to render the pronunciation helper panel. No page content is ever recorded, logged, or transmitted externally.
• host_permissions (<all_urls>): Necessary because call center agents operate across custom internal vicidial IP addresses, subdomains, and proprietary CRMs. The extension UI remains completely inert/dormant unless explicitly activated by the agent on their chosen domains.
4. What Information We Collect & How It Is Handled
A. Lead & Customer Data (Zero Collection): When an agent is on a call, BPO Helper evaluates customer names against a locally bundled dictionary file (data/names.json). All translation and string extraction happen in local computer memory. No customer names, phone numbers, notes, or lead information are ever transmitted to any remote server.
B. License Verification & Device Binding: To enforce licensing (1-PC limit vs Unlimited), the extension sends an anonymous cryptographic device identifier (UUID generated locally) along with the user's purchased license key via TLS/HTTPS to our verification endpoint (https://devhatchery.com/bpo-helper/api/verify.php). No personal identity or IP logs are tied to this transaction.
5. Third-Party Integrations & Payment Processing
Payments and license key deliveries are handled securely by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy. DevHatchery does not store credit card numbers, banking details, or billing addresses on our servers. You may review Lemon Squeezy's privacy terms during the checkout process.
6. Data Retention, Security & User Controls
Agents retain complete control over all stored data. By clicking "Reset Values" in the panel or uninstalling the extension from Google Chrome, all local checklist notes, customized lists, and session tokens are permanently erased immediately.
